Decision from SIGTELE Annual Meeting

March 18, 2007

Our annual meeting was held at the MACUL Conference on Thursday, March 15. Fourteen members and guests participated in the meeting. One area of consensus was that our group should have a blog. The first use of our blog is going to be to continue the conference by putting up postings about the conference.

I had a fabulous time at the conference and my head is swimming with things I learned and want to act on. I’m looking forward to continuing the learning by reading everyone’s posts.

Thanks for starting this blog Laura! There is a picture of the SIGTELE group (and more) at the MACUL blog http://macul.edublogs.org/
click “More Photos” if it doesn’t show on the front page. (not sure how flickr choses the order to post images – I’d tried to get the early morning at Cobo to go first)

The handout from my session (attached) provides links to many other conferences past and future – in case you run low on new things to explore!

The MACUL blog has added a wealth of additional material and insight to my MACUL experiance. It would be wonderful if everyone who attended passed on the address to friends and colleagues who weren’t able to attend.

Thanks for taking our ideas from the lunch at the MACUL SIG-TELE meeting and implementing this blog so quickly! There were, are, and will be many interesting ways to learn from the Macul 2007 event.

Vendor booths, parties, presenters, presentations, classroom of the future, blogs, books, podcasts, pictures, lunches, web sites, free Internet access, etc the list goes on and on and this blog is a great way to remember and learn even more!

And for those of us who sometimes misplace our notes (and our minds) this will be a great place to go back to. So thanks for the memories!
